Bob Backlund On Who Was Trying To Talk Vince McMahon Sr. Out Of WWF Title Win, Vince's Reaction

This week on my daily show, THE BRAND on PodcastOne.com, the absolute shenanigans continued as the great Disco Inferno joined us on Lions, Tigers, Bears & Dirt to only get absolutely crushed by the iconic Shark Boy for almost single handedly killing his career.

The week wrapped up with Part 1 of THE SWERVE with two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Hall of Famer, Mr. Bob Backlund. One of my favorites since the first time I met him 20 years ago, Mr. Backlund still gives one of the most energy inspired interviews in the business. In the interview, Backlund talked about Vince McMahon Sr. and winning his first championship.

"The day of the match, (Superstar Billy Graham) was still trying to talk him (Vince Sr.) out of putting the Championship on me," Backlund said. "They had a thing years ago that you had to put money down to secure that you would give the belt back, so they talked him into coming to me and asking if I had X amount of dollars. I didn't live above my means and nobody ever thought I had a dime, but, I had enough money to do that so I said, 'Vince do you want a check, or do you want cash?' Vince then told them I promised Bob Backlund that he was going to get the Championship and he was going to get it no matter what you think and you'll never change my mind. That man became a father to me."

Also this week on Bucket Full of Chicken Necks, I smartened up all the girlfriends and wives out there telling them what their better halves want to tell them, but don't have the !@#$% to. The lovely Adrianne Curry of America's Next Top Model, The Surreal Life, My Fair Brady and also Chyna's BFF stopped by to conclude the second part of her Vixens Who Rule interview with some harsh words to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. You can listen to Vince Russo's THE BRAND on PodcastOne every day FREE Monday through Friday, while having the option of enjoying the videos on The RELM Network.
