WWE NXT Results (8/14): Breakout Tournament Finals, Breezango Vs. The Forgotten Sons

Tonight features Jordan Myles vs. Cameron Grimes in the NXT Breakout Tournament Finals (winner gets a future NXT Championship match), Breezango takes on The Forgotten Sons, and fallout from NXT TakeOver: Toronto II.

- Show opens with highlights from NXT TakeOver: Toronto II.

Breezango (Fandango and Tyler Breeze) vs. The Forgotten Sons (Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake with Jaxson Ryker)

Breeze and Fandango are out with much more subdued black/white wrestling gear. Sunset flip attempt on Fandango who fights it off and then does his trademark hip swivels. Breeze tagged in, drops Cutler, then hits a back body drop on Blake. Back in the ring, Blake gets a tag. Referee gets distracted and Ryker hops in the ring to drop Breeze and get back to the floor without the referee seeing. "Breeze is gorgeous" chant as he gets worked over in the ring, cover, two. Cutler tagged back in, double backbreaker, cover, two.

Ryker gets involved again and this time the referee sees what happened and tosses him. Fandango gets back in there, lights up Blake with multiple chops, spinning powerslams one to each opponent. Fandango kicks off Cutler and hits a tornado DDT on Blake. Fandango heads to the top rope, ends up leaping off and eats a lariat. Cutler is tagged in. Fandango eats a second rope hurricanrana and then a splash off the top rope. Blake tagged in, and is able to dump both men out to the floor. Fandango with a massive flip over the top rope. Back in the ring, Breeze catapults Cutler into Fandango's forearm, Fandango then hits a slingshot elbow drop, cover, 1-2-3.

Winners: Breezango via Pinfall

- Highlights from NXT North American Champion Velveteen Dream defeating Roderick Strong and Pete Dunne at TakeOver.

- Post-match, Pete Dunne says Dream had to whatever he needed to do to keep the title, but he's going to make sure he does whatever he needs to do to take that title away from Dream.

- Recap of the NXT Breakout Tournament, later tonight it will be Jordan Myles vs. Cameron Grimes in the finals.

- Highlights of NXT Tag Team Champions The Street Profits defeating Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish at last weekend's TakeOver.

- Backstage after the match, Cathy Kelley talk with Fish and O'Reilly. They were not happy about losing the match as the Undisputed Era was looking to win all the gold at TakeOver. O'Reilly and Fish wanted to talk with William Regal because The Street Profits ended up pinning the illegal man in the match. We see a clip of O'Reilly getting throw into Fish near the end of the match and that technically was a tag.

- Video package (featuring Poppy) of the new Io Shirai. We see clips from her match at TakeOver against Candice LeRae. Shirai ended up defeating LeRae last weekend.

- Highlight package of NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler defeating Mia Yim at NXT TakeOver: Toronto II.

- Backstage after the match, Cathy Kelley asked Baszler for a word, she asked Baszler if Yim pushed her further than any previous competitor. Baszler removed her mouth guard and simply said, "And still."

- Extended look at NXT Champion Adam Cole defeating Johnny Gargano in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match at TakeOver. Cole won the first falls via DQ after Gargano decided to use a chair on his opponent. Gargano would then pick up the second fall in a Street Fight. The final fall with a Steel Cage Match (filled with weapons) was then won by Cole in what ended up being a brutal match.

- Clip of Matt Riddle showing up through the crowd to call out Killian Dain. The ended up brawling until Dain took himself and Riddle off the stage and through some tables. Next week: Matt Riddle vs. Killian Dain.

Jordan Myles vs. Cameron Grimes (NXT Breakout Tournament Finals)

Both wrestlers looking for wristlocks right off the bat. Myles with a low dropkick, pin, barely a one-count. Myles with a dragon screw leg whip, cover, two. Myles with more kicks, Grimes to the floor and hits a leaping forearm to Myles' face. Back in the ring, Grimes kicks and chops away at Myles then throws him face-first into the second turnbuckle, pin, two-count. Grimes works over the arm, but Myles hits another dragon screw leg whip.

Myles sidesteps Myles, kicks Grimes out of the ring, kip-up, big penalty kick from the apron on Grimes. Back in the ring, Myles heads up to the top rope crossbody on a standing Grimes, cover, two. Myles goes up again, avoids Grimes for a moment, but Grimes hits and orange crush, pin, two. Myles with a backbreaker into a german suplex with the bridge, close three on that one.

Grimes tries to go out to the floor, Myles goes to get him and gets the second rope whipped into his face. Myles with multiple kicks, but Grimes hits a running spanish fly, pin, two. Grimes with a leapfrog, tweaks his knee, follows up with a roundhouse kick though. Grimes tries to sends Myles face-first into the turnbuckle, Myles stops his momentum with his foot and wags his finger at Grimes. Hits a brainbuster, 450 splash off the top rope, cover, 1-2-3.

Winner: Jordan Myles via Pinfall. Wins the tournament and will receive a future NXT Championship Match.

– Post-match, William Regal heads out to the stage with a contract and gives it to Myles. He raises up Myles' hand for a moment and Myles celebrates his big victory.
